Benefits & Opportunities
There have been many benefits to working as head camp counselor for the Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley. The pay is $9.00 an hour while camp is in session. During the off weeks I did not get paid, but I received a lot of experience planning and prepping for events. It was my responsibility to plan out all of the activities and guest appearances for the camps. I now feel very prepared to coordinate schedules, and I also received the benefit of making networking contacts throughout the Bryan/College Station community through all the guest speakers I contacted and met.

Achievements
I believe the greatest skill I've earned throughout this internship is the ability to work well under stress and be able to change plans efficiently and quickly when something goes wrong. I also have learned how to work very well with other people and take in their ideas to combine them with some of my to create something even greater. I have worked with so many great people throughout this internship and it has really taught me a lot. I have also achieved a feeling of preparedness during this internship. I now have the skills necessary to go our into the world of event planning and be able to work under pressure and adapt to changes when necessary.
